Wanderlust
A collaborative performance installation
August 20-24, 2008
IDEAL Artspace

Wanderlust. The irresistible urge to move, to travel, to escape.
United under this shared theme, a group of Calgary’s hottest young theatre and visual artists have crafted a unique performative experience. They welcome you to a space that’s both theatre and gallery, a fertile collaborative ground where performance and installation overlap.
Five characters – a ghost, a busker, a transient, a flower and an addict – lead you through four unique installations that engage the senses with stunning video, powerful winds, childhood nostalgia and relics of India. Escape from Calgary’s bustle for a journey through wild environments, startling structures and interwoven narratives.
Breathe in. Breathe out. Take the long road home.
