We are coming to take up space, to have our stories heard. Those who are marginalized often feel and are told that they are not good enough. Well, we are here to say that we are and that, if you ever feel alone, know that you are not. We are all struggling.

This project started in March by inviting those who wanted to examine their walk with mental health through a creative lens. A community-wide announcement was put out and a partnership with Canadian Mental Health Association – Calgary Region was created. Since then, together, we have worked through themes of mental health of all varieties. We are excited to put words to paper and paper to words and form a performance. Some of us have never written before, some of us have never performed before, and yet all of us are excited to be part of this.

This project is a collective of pieces and yet also a whole. As we may walk alone in our journey, we are also walking together.
This project focuses on those who have experienced mental health challenges, be it their own or those of loved ones.

Content Warning: This project touches on real life elements of mental health, including but not limited to suicide, bipolar, eating disorders, and other topics.
